2014 China Overseas Investment New Year Forum

2014 China Overseas Investment New Year Forum in the theme of "New Silk Road" was held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. National Senior officials and officials from National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Commerce, the Minstry of Finance, Ambassadors to China and Commercial Counsellors appeared at the scence. Mr. Zhang Wenxin, the President of CPOEC was also invited to attend the Forum.
     
Many heads from the centeral govement and large-size state-owned enterprises and delegates to the Forum discussed how to realize the bengin development of China overseas investment, summed up the theories and practice of China overseas investment in 2013, envisioned the economic status in 2014 and explored the bright future in overseas investment.

In September, 2013, Mr. Xi Jinping, Chairman of the People's Repubic of China put forward the strategic concept of construction of "Silk Road Economic Zone". Mr. Li Keqiang expressed in the Summer Davos that economic globalization is inexorable trend. China encourages the powerful and reputable Chinese enterprises to invest abroad, which is not only conducive to themselves, but also to the world to create a win-win situation. Overseas investment as one of the critical fields in economic reform must play a more positive role in investment.
