Exchange with Officials from the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates

On Feb. 18, 2014, at the invitation of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Ms. Xiuqing HU, Deputy Sectary General and Ms. Cindy LIU, Director of International Department of CPOEC visited Ms. Maitha Mohammed AlKaabi, official from the Embassy of the UAE. The two sides further deepened the understanding of each other in a friendly atmosphere and exchanged views on the issues commonly concerned and hope each can fully utilize its own resources to strengthen exchange and cooperation on all aspects centered on energy.

The United Arab Emirates is a beautiful country located in the Gulf with long history. It is the fifth biggest crude oil exporter in the world. Its reserve of petroleum and natural gas are ranked No. 6 and No. 5 respectively in the world. China is a rising country and one of the biggest energy consumers on the global andranked No. 2 in term of petroleum consumption.

The peoples of the UAE and China are very creative and have the courage and willingness to try new things. The Palm Island and the Great Wall are honored the Miracle 7 and Miracle 8 in the world. Jumairah Mosque and Sheikh Zayed Mosque in UAE and the Temple of Heaven and Lama Temple in China are the classical architecture universally.  

With the sustainable and smooth development between the two countries, the cooperation in infrastructure, finance, culture, environment, tourism will be further enriched and deepened.

At last, Ms. HU and Ms. LIU entrusted Ms. Maitha Mohammed AlKaabi to convey the greeting from Mr. Zhang Weixin, the President of CPOEC to the Ambassador of the UAE to China.
