Under the leadership of the Liaison Department of the CPC Central Committee and the concern and support of the Director Units, CAFIU with its own traditional edges has explored new resources, set up new platform, opened up new fields and created new brands in order to carry forward non-governmental diplomacy and has formed multi-layer, broad and overall aspects dimensional development order. It has made excellent achievement in the aspect of serving national overall diplomacy, external work of CPC and domestic economic and social development.

China Association for International Understanding (CAFIU) persists in the core of implementing the spirit of the 17th and 18th National Congress of the CPC, concentrates on non-governmental diplomacy and introduction of “China Dream”, endeavors to build solid work foundation, actively innovate the new working mechanism, strengthen the exchange and cooperation with colleges and universities, research institute and non-governmental organizations on on-going basis and combine “going out” and “coming in” in order to promote the communication influence of CAFIU in non-governmental research field.
