Painting Opening Ceremony of Mr. Gao Wanzhi
The Well-known Artist from South Korea
On Jan. 30, 2015, supported by CPOEC and Beijing General&Minister Art Gallery, the Painting Opening Ceremony of Mr. Gao Wanzhi, the famous Artist from South Korea was held in the Beijing People’s Grand Hall Hotel. Mr. Su Qiucheng, the former Deputy Secretary General, the National People's Congress standing committee, the former Director of People’s Grand Hall Administration, Mr. Zhao Changqing, VP of China Calligraphy Association, Mr. Sun Shengjun, the former Director of Art, Ministry of Culture, Mr. Choi Bong- Kyu, Consul General, Mr. Kwon Soon-jae, Consul, Mr. Zhao Kangdong, President of Art Assoication, South Korea, Ms. Yang Huanqin, Chairman of ZhongShiHanLin Int’l Co., Ltd. and entraperneours, elites, calligraphy fans, Ms. Hu Xiuqing, Deputy General Sectary and Ms. Liu Hongyan attended it at the invitation.
Mr. Gao was called left-arm miracle artist. He lost his right arm in a traffic accident at his teenage. The life hardship inspired him to work hard and kept painting every day on the floor. He has made outstanding successes, particularly in painting and Chinese painting and contributed tremendously to the culture and art exchange between China and South Korea. He has held exhibitions both at home and abroad and was rewarded many times. He also was keen on public welfare, donated school supplies to Chinese students in rural areas and gave them guidance on drawing. Mr. Gao set up an inspirational model for us.
We hope this exhibition create an opportunity for people to learn about art and enhance the exchange between the two countries. Sincerely wish Mr Gao’s art road evergreen, the friendship between China and South Korea be everlasting!
